This time and Sunset Shimmer from MLP:EQ,with a 'little' add of GTS content

I've never drawed MLP characters,even because i've never seen a single episode of that show. But to be honest,it was really funny to draw her,and even funnier to keep the style close to the original.

And even more funny to draw her as a MEGA GIANTESS

But i'd like to ask you all something : Why this show is so popular ? Why is basically one of the pillar of the internet society ? AND WHY THE RULE 34 HAS BASICALLY MOST OF THE MATERIAL ABOUT THEM ??
