The large grey object peaked only slightly above the water's edge. Peter looked at it in a sort of wondered curiosity. It looked like a whale coming to the surface for water, the grey, wet skin shimmering in the midday light. The water parted on both sides of it, turning white with the speed it was traveling. Soon, however, it was obvious it wasn’t a whale. Not just from the lack of a spout or a dorsal fin, but the fact that it kept rising. What was once a small hump in the distance soon became a smooth wall taller than even the highest of UNSC battleships. Suddenly, the grey wall that had been lifting gradually shot up in an instant, rising vertically into the air for what seemed like miles. The water swelled in all directions, expanding outward before flooding back to fill the empty space. From out of the depths a large face rose, one that Peter could see clearly from even miles away. It wasn’t like any face he’d seen before, however, it was grey and smooth with orange eyes
